On July, 2008, CUE Local 10 conducted an election for leadership positions on the Executive Board, or Steering Committee. Since then, a couple of positions became vacant thereby creating the need to hold another democratic election. This notice to you is the constitutionally required fifteen (15) day notice announcing the opening of nominations. The following is the election schedule:
Positions available for nomination and election are: Recording Secretary, Treasurer, 2 At-Large members, Chief Steward and 1 vacant representative to the Statewide Union Executive Board. Nominations can be made in person, by phone, mail or email. The name of a member nominated to run for office must be received at the CUE office no later than June 29, 5pm. Please also give us contact information for the nominated person, including phone and email. Only union members are permitted to run for leadership positions, receive ballots and cast votes in leadership elections. If you are currently a fee payer and would like to join the union and thereby vote in this important leadership election, please contact Aggie Olivares, the CUE Administrative Services Coordinator, at 831.420.0258.
