CUE Local 10 is recruiting a few good workers to join the Executive Board of Local 10 (Santa Cruz).

The opportunity to serve your co-workers as a member of the policymaking body of our local union is a great way to learn and practice leadership skills, connect the work of the Local with the Statewide union and be involved in formulating policies that impact CUE workers’ lives on-the-job.

Requirements for service:

• A dedication to worker power and collective action.
• The ability to think and act in the best interests of the majority of CUE workers.
• CUE union membership.
• A sense of humor.
• Three – five hours “free” time per month.

The Executive Board meets one time each month, generally for a couple of hours. The position is unpaid but some sort of light dinner is served at each meeting. Children are welcome to attend meetings (they don’t call us a union family for nothin’!) and paper and pencils are provided for the kids.
