Voting is taking place right now. You can vote by mail (absentee voter,) vote in the Santa Cruz County Elections Office (call 831.454.2060 – 2nd floor of the county building,) or cast your ballot at your polling station on Tuesday, November 4.

However you vote, don’t forget to cast your ballot.

No doubt you’ve heard every cliché about this election: it’s historic, it’s urgent (the economy,) it’s an election seeing the highest number of new voters ever in the history of the country.

Raise your voice! Vote!

CUE Local 10 reminds you that we endorsed Tim Fitzmaurice, candidate for Santa Cruz City Council. Mr. Fitzmaurice is a former council member and Mayor, a current and longtime lecturer at UCSC, and the grievance officer for his lecturer’s union, AFT.

There are lots of labor-oriented voter guides around. For more candidate and issues information, check out:

www.cft.org This is the California Federation of Teachers. Their voting guide includes candidates and statewide propositions.
www.mbclc.org Includes the above plus local candidates and issues in Santa Cruz and Monterey counties.

Our community, state and country is stronger when the citizenry is educated, informed and votes. Thank you for taking the time to participate in this historic and urgent election.
